KCNA reported on Wednesday a mass rally was held in Pyongyang to aid the government. North Korea has previously mobilised big crowds to display its solve when tensions escalate.

In August 2015, one million North Koreans made available to enlist or re-enlist in the military when a mine exploded in the demilitarised zone concerning the two Koreas, elevating added tensions.
